When you wear or give a piece of Penny Katz jewelry, you won't see another like it at your local department store, or anywhere else for that matter. It's like having a signature piece that says, "This is me, and no one else." We use top quality materials, unusually cut natural stones and one of a kind vintage jewelry components to make your jewelry distinct.
The Penny Katz line of eco-chic, earth friendly jewelry is made from at least 90% re-purposed vintage and antique jewelry parts. I have travelled the world extensively and use materials from exotic locations, flea markets from all over the United States, and local artist’s work. From a flea market on High Street in London, to the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, I have strived to find meaningful materials to use in these pieces.
Our kiln-fired enamel jewelry is entirely hand-worked and fired in a community studio to save on energy. Each piece is hand-fired more than 8-12 times and no two pieces will ever be the same.
Many of the kiln-fired pieces are on vintage recycled copper or sterling, with recycled chains and trim.
If you are looking for unusual cuts of natural stones, our line of semi-precious jewelry is for you. Each stone is hand selected for its unique quality and worked on sterling silver, copper or anodized metal wire.

We promote techniques in jewelry making that require minimal consumption and all waste materials are reused or recycled. We use custom clasps made by local artists and some that are found internationally.
This jewelry is casual enough to wear with jeans and a T-shirt, or exciting enough to be found on the red carpet.
